Our operations lead Claudi Williams, and local SEEd supporter and Councillor Chloe Turner attended the King’s Garten Party at Buckingham Palace last week. Together with hundreds of other volunteer group representatives, Claudi and Chloe were invited to tea in the beautiful palace gardens, just days before the coronation.
The volunteer group they represent is Action on Plastic – an environmental group of ordinary citizens that was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services for their work in the community since 2017. In keeping with the purpose of their group’s work (to reuse rather than buy new), they dressed entirely in secondhand clothing for the occasion, including hats and matching handbags. #actiononplastic #QAVS
