Litter Less Plus Campaign launch
Join FEE virtually on the 26th January for the launch of their second global campaign, aimed at reducing global pollution.
The Litter Less Plus campaign is part of the larger GAIA 20:30 strategic plan. This campaign will focus on the reduction of waste through better understanding of responsible consumption and a circular economy approach. The FEE team have complied resources, activities, and webinars to help anyone join the campaign, and these are available through the website.
NAEE
Green Steel
With funding from the steel industry, NAEE has produced a freely-available resource for chemistry and science teachers which explores what steel-makers across the globe are doing to find low-carbon and zero-carbon routes to steel in the face of global warming and climate change. The publication is available online and aims to provide an up to date image of the industry, as well as what is being done to reduce and/or eliminate the amount of CO2 generated.
Chester Zoo
Conservation and Sustainability Education PGCert
Designed in partnership with the University of Chester this new course will provide educators with a deeper knowledge and skills to maximise their impact, and a recognised qualification.
Educators say it will be rooted in real-world practice and based heavily on Chester Zoo’s wide-ranging expertise and decades of experience in the field of conservation, with education programmes delivered both in the zoo and in support of field partners across the globe.

Green Schools Project
Programme Manager Vacancy
This is a part time role working on the Zero Carbon Schools project, through which pupils learn how to calculate their schools carbon emissions and supports them in leading projects to reduce them.
You’ll be working three days a week to coordinate and deliver the programme to a cohort of 20 schools, including running both teacher and student training sessions, coordinating volunteers, monitoring and evaluation, creating termly newsletters and new resources, and supporting the organisations overall strategic aims.
